Industry trend reports tracking this year’s bridal jewelry market point to a clear shift away from the all-white, all-matching bridal set of the last decade. Colored gemstones, mixed metals, and visible artisan finishes — hammered textures, asymmetric settings, hand-engraving — are increasingly shaping what couples are asking for, alongside a broader appetite for pieces that carry personal meaning rather than simply following convention.
Murat Koç’s Take
“We’re seeing this firsthand. Five years ago, almost every bridal consultation started with ‘white gold, round diamond, plain band.’ Now couples are far more likely to bring in a color they love, a family stone they want incorporated, or a finish they’ve seen and want adapted for their own ring. I think this is a genuinely good shift — a wedding piece worn for decades should look like the people who chose it, not like a catalog default.”
“It also means more of our bridal work now sits closer to fine and even high jewelry territory in terms of customization, even when the budget is modest. A mixed-metal band with a single well-chosen colored stone can be just as personal, and just as well made, as something far more elaborate — it simply has to be designed with intention rather than picked off a shelf.”
